Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager I - Distribution in the United States to oversee daily warehouse operations, drive strategic process improvements, and guide a team of Operations Managers to deliver safe, efficient performance.

You will manage P&L, optimize costs, coordinate with vendors, use WMS technology, and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews to customers, contributing to DHL's reputation as a global leader in contract logistics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial experience in a warehousing or distribution environment.
• 2+ years in supply chain, warehousing or distribution.
• Experience with 3PL/contract logistics preferred.
• Staff management and P&L exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and shipping.
• Develop strategies to optimize processes, minimize costs, and boost productivity.
• Lead and coach Operations Managers and staff, building a strong team culture.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Use WMS and technology to track inventory and drive improvements.
• Manage vendor relationships and cost-effective services within the contract.
• Prepare reports on performance, inventory, and key metrics for decision‑making.
• Maintain customer relationships and ensure satisfaction.
• Responsible for site P&L and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews.
