Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in the United States seeks a General Manager I - Distribution to lead warehouse operations and drive strategic improvements across receiving, storage, and shipping. This role focuses on safety, productivity, and cost control while guiding a large team of managers and staff.

You will utilize WMS and automation, manage vendor relations, analyze performance, and present MB/RBR-style reviews to customers, impacting overall site profitability.

Qualifications

• 5 years managerial/supervisory experience.
• 2 years experience in supply chain, warehouse or distribution.
• Experience in 3PL/Contract Logistics preferred.
• Staff management, required.
• P&L management, preferred.
• Project management, preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferred.
• WMS experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize processes, reduce costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, building a strong team culture.
• Ensure safety compliance and adherence to policies.
• Utilize WMS, automation to track inventory and metrics.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services.
• Prepare reports on performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and satisfaction.
• Manage site P&L and present MB/RBR-style reviews to customers.
