Eastern Industrial Supplies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Distribution Manager to lead Birmingham, AL warehouse operations. The role covers receiving, shipping, and inventory, driving efficiency within budget and enabling branch support across multiple states.

You will supervise warehouse staff, optimize layouts, ensure ISO 9001 compliance, and continuously improve supply chain strategies to deliver exceptional service to branches, customers, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Distribution Manager, Supervisor, or Coordinator role.
• Strong computer skills; willingness to learn Eclipse software.
• Experience overseeing receiving, shipping, and inventory in high-volume warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and streamline warehouse operations (receiving, order fulfillment, shipping).
• Supervise and develop warehouse associates and temporary staff.
• Conduct cycle counts and annual inventories; maintain ISO 9001 standards.
• Design warehouse layouts to optimize space and workflows.
• Coordinate with branches, vendors, and customers to resolve logistics issues.
• Enforce OSHA and company safety regulations.
