Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in the United States is seeking a General Manager I - Distribution to drive performance across our distribution centers. You will lead daily warehouse operations, shape strategic processes, and mentor managers to create a safe, high-performing environment.

This role involves owning budgets, delivering service excellence, and coordinating with customers to optimize outcomes. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of leadership in logistics are preferred, with a strong 3PL/contract

Qualifications

• 5+ years of managerial/supervisory experience in a distribution or 3PL setting.
• Experience in P&L management preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations (receiving, storage, shipping) and ensure accuracy.
• Develop strategies to optimize processes, reduce costs and boost productivity.
• Lead and coach a team of managers and staff, fostering a safe, productive culture.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Use WMS and automation to monitor inventory and performance metrics.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services.
• Prepare reports and lead customer relationships to ensure satisfaction.
• Own site P&L and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews.
