Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager II to lead our distribution warehousing operations nationwide. You will drive strategic process improvements, optimize costs, and lead a large team to deliver efficient, safe, and productive warehouse performance.

In this role you will manage a team of Operations Managers, oversee financial performance including P&L, and report on monthly business metrics to customers and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial or supervisory experience.
• 2+ years experience in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment.
• Experience in 3PL and/or Contract Logistics preferred.
• Staff management experience.
• WMS experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, fostering a strong team culture.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe, clean, efficient environment.
• Utilize WMS, automation and technology to track inventory and monitor performance metrics.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services and supplies in line with the agreement.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance and inventory levels to inform decisions.
• Lead customer relationships with daily contact to ensure satisfaction.
• Own the site's P&L and drive financial results through operations.
• Prepare and present MB/RQBR to customers with cross-functional collaboration.
