DHL Supply Chain seeks a General Manager II for Distribution at University Park IL. You will oversee warehouse operations, drive strategy to optimize processes, and lead a team to achieve safety, cost efficiency and high productivity. Key responsibilities include managing P&L, vendor relations and customer interfaces.

The role emphasizes strategic process development, strong team leadership and a track record in warehouse management within a 3PL/contract logistics environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience.
• 2+ years in supply chain, warehousing or distribution.
• Experience in 3PL/contract logistics is preferred.
• Staff management is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
• WMS experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storage and shipping.
• Develop strategies to optimize processes, reduce costs, and boost productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of managers and staff, building a strong culture.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Utilize WMS and other tech to monitor performance and drive improvements.
• Manage vendor relationships and site P&L in line with contracts.
• Prepare reports on performance and present to customers via MBR/QBR.
