Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager II to lead warehouse operations in University Park, IL. You will oversee daily activities, develop strategic processes, and drive performance across the site, managing a team of operations managers and staff to ensure safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

This role requires 5+ years of managerial experience and 2+ years in a distribution environment, with a focus on P&L ownership and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience required.
• 2+ years experience in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment required.
• Experience in Third Party Logistics (3PL) and/or Contract Logistics preferred.
• Staff management required.
• WMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, fostering a strong team culture and coaching as needed.
• Ensure safety compliance and oversee personnel activities to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient environment.
• Utilize WMS, automation and technology to track inventory and monitor performance metrics.
