Job summary

The Field Coordinator - Distribution at Entergy Corporation in Texas–Winnie is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality execution of distribution construction, maintenance, restoration, and switching activities through planning and proactive risk assessment.

This role embeds Life Critical Rules and safe‑work practices into pre‑job documentation, prepares switching packages and outage steps, and works with the DOC to ensure safe sequencing and restoration readiness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or related work experience.
• 7+ years of distribution or transmission line experience with demonstrated competency and a clear understanding of advanced Linework skills.
• Ability to pass the technical capability test, demonstrating the required skills.

Responsibilities

• Safety Leadership & High-Risk Planning—anticipates hazards, embeds rules and safe-work practices into pre-job docs.
• Standards Compliance, Quality Control & Work Package Validation—ensures alignment with standards and performs QA/QC to prevent field issues.
• System Operations Support, Switching Readiness & Outage Planning—validates switching packages and outage steps with DOC.
• Execution Readiness & Work Enablement—confirms permits, logistics, equipment, and materials before mobilization.
• Technical Coaching, Troubleshooting & Field Support—coaches planners and crews to prevent gaps and improve planning.
