Job summary

WSP USA in Saint Louis, MO, seeks a Full-Time Electrical Engineering (Distribution) Intern currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. The 12-week summer internship starts May 17, 2027, with mentorship from senior staff and exposure to real projects.

Interns assist with distribution planning, data collection, and MV studies under guidance, learning basic EE concepts while observing safety and professional conduct. No relocation or housing assistance is provided.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited engineering program with an anticipated Aug 2027 or later graduation date.
• Must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• Interest in Consulting Engineering and Electric Utility industry.
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly to engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Ability to take direction from mentors and managers.

Responsibilities

• Support distribution design tasks under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Assist with data collection and engineering studies for MV systems.
• Learn basic electrical engineering principles during the 12-week program.
• Participate in training and adhere to company policies and safety rules.
• Contribute to project work with ethical and responsible use of resources.
