Job summary

WSP USA invites aspiring engineers to join our Birmingham, AL office as a Full-Time Electrical Engineering (Distribution Design) Intern. You will work with senior staff on real power delivery projects and gain hands-on experience.

This is part of the 12-week Summer Internship Program, starting May 17, 2027, with flexible start dates. Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program and be 18+ with authorization to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate engineering program with an anticipated graduation date Aug 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to interact with engineering and non-engineering audiences.

Responsibilities

• Support distribution design tasks and learn fundamentals of distribution design engineering.
• Work under engineers on distribution design projects.
• Assist with data collection and engineering analysis.
• Participate in training and adhere to company policies.
