Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an engineer to join our project team, focusing on distribution design for overhead and underground networks (4 kV through 34 kV). You will prepare sketches, conduct analyses, and contribute to cost estimates and BOMs in a collaborative environment.

The role supports a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and two remote days, and relocation assistance is available depending on location.

Qualifications

• This position requires an ABET-accredited engineering degree.
• Two or more years of experience in electric utility distribution or relevant experience.
• Knowledge of physical distribution design methods and their application.
• Familiarity with design codes and standards such as NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE, GIS/GWD.
• Experience with distribution software programs including AutoCAD, ArcGIS, PoleForeman.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction sketches and details for overhead and underground network services (4 KV through 34 KV).
• Analyze and design priority feeds and plan modifications to the system.
• Support maintenance and recapitalization of distribution components.
• Develop work packages and provide as-builts at completion of construction.
• Communicate effectively within project teams and with stakeholders.
