Job summary

Leidos LLC in Michigan is seeking Distribution Engineers & Designers to design electric utility projects, working directly with clients to ensure high-quality deliverables while leveraging GIS, DDS, GDT, and other design tools.

This role blends field data collection with office design work, requires 2+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial engineering, and offers growth through NESC knowledge, pole modeling, and power calculations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial preferred.
• Experience with electric utility design for distribution.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform design engineering for electric utility customers.
• Develop work packages for OH, UG, URD, Make Ready, and Street Light projects.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget of assigned work.
• Review engineering design packages with clients.
• Coordinate field data collection and adherence to client design standards.
