Actalent in New Orleans seeks an Distribution Designers I/II to design and support electric power distribution systems, contributing to grid hardening and make-ready work. You will develop designs, refine drawings, and collaborate with engineers from concept through implementation, using Katapult, PoleForeman, and GDT where applicable.

The role emphasizes growth in the electric distribution field with a standard 40-hour week in an office setting and onsite work in New Orleans, LA.

Competenze

• 13 years of experience in distribution design or distribution engineering in power delivery.
• Experience in electric distribution including grid hardening or make-ready projects.
• Foundational knowledge of power distribution concepts.
• Ability to support electrical design activities for distribution systems.
• Desire to grow a long-term career in electric distribution engineering.

Mansioni

• Develop and update electric power distribution designs to support grid hardening and reliability.
• Support make-ready engineering to accommodate new or modified loads and equipment.
• Prepare and refine distribution design drawings per engineering standards and utility requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers to support power delivery projects from concept to implementation.
• Use Katapult, PoleForeman, and GDT to perform design, modeling, and analysis tasks when applicable.
