Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Entry Level Distribution Engineer/Distribution Designer I/II for New Orleans, LA. This contract-to-hire role focuses on designing and supporting electric power distribution systems, grid hardening, and make-ready work, with growth opportunities in a professional office setting.

You will use Katapult, PoleForeman, and GDT to design, model, and analyze distribution projects, while learning engineering standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

• 13 years of distribution design/engineering experience in power delivery.
• Exposure to grid hardening and make-ready projects.
• Foundational knowledge of power distribution concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update electric power distribution designs for grid hardening and reliability.
• Support make-ready engineering to accommodate new or modified loads and equipment.
• Prepare and review distribution design drawings and documentation per standards.
• Collaborate with engineers from concept to implementation on power delivery projects.
