Job summary

Jersey Central Power & Light (FirstEnergy) seeks a supervisory professional to oversee regional distribution operations from the Holmdel/Morristown, NJ center. The role involves oversight of real-time dispatch, outage coordination, and engineering review with on-site schedule Monday–Friday, including potential weekend/extended days for storms.

Responsibilities include guiding field crews, ensuring policy compliance, and developing contingency and emergency plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate of Engineering degree (Electrical preferred) with 3+ years of related work experience.
• Alternative: high school diploma with 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in line or substation field work, engineering, or leadership roles.
• Demonstrated leadership in operational supervision or dispatching duties.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to analyze and reason.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field crews in operation and maintenance of the electrical distribution system.
• Oversee real-time dispatch operations and safety compliance.
• Mentor and conduct performance reviews.
• Develop contingency plans for restoration of service.
• Manage outage data review and approvals; coordinate storm response.
