Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Manager, Distribution System Operations at the Greensburg Corporate Center to lead and optimize real-time DCC operations for Penn Power and West Penn Power. You will enforce MOP adherence, coordinate with System Control Centers, oversee outages, and drive safety, reliability and customer satisfaction initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or PE license (or equivalent), 7+ years of leadership in operations, and strong data analysis,

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or PE license or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of professional work experience in distribution operations.
• Leadership experience in supervision and/or system operations.
• Strong knowledge of electric theory, energy management, and related IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Enforce adherence to the Manual of Operations (MOP) with emphasis on safety and incident investigation.
• Coordinate operations with System Control Centers to ensure safe, reliable delivery.
• Coordinate outages with departments, utilities, and major customers to minimize downtime.
• Provide direction to DCC personnel and the operating company for actions during failures, storms, and abnormal events.
• Ensure data accuracy and documentation for regulatory, legal, and reporting needs.
• Integrate DCC and field operations with three-part communications and energizing procedures.
