Job summary

Jersey Central Power & Light, a FirstEnergy Corp. subsidiary, seeks an experienced supervisor for Distribution Control Center operations in NJ. The role oversees real-time dispatch, outage coordination, and performance reviews, with weekend/extended day requirements and storm duties.

Requires engineering credentials with utility experience, strong leadership, and proficiency in ADMS/SCADA/DMS and MS Office. On-site role in Holmdel/Morristown, NJ within proximity of the reporting location.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent with relevant utility experience.
• Experience in operational supervision or dispatching.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to perform analytical calculations (voltage drops, loadings).
• Knowledge of system components and dispatching software.
• Residence near reporting location.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regional Distribution System Operations personnel in real-time dispatch and outage coordination.
• Mentor field crews and ensure safety, compliance and documentation.
• Review and approve outage data; manage performance reviews.
• Utilize ADMS/SCADA/DMS for real-time system analysis and decision support.
• Support storm response, contingency planning and emergency plans.
