Job summary

FirstEnergy in Greensburg, PA, is seeking an experienced supervisor to oversee Distribution System Operations personnel at the Greensburg Distribution Control Center.

You will lead real-time dispatch, manage safety and performance reviews, and coordinate with regional teams to restore service during outages.

The role requires an engineering degree or equivalent, leadership background, and strong analytical skills. Weekend work and storm readiness are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate of Engineering in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of related work experience, or high school diploma with 5 years' experience.
• Leadership experience in operational supervision or dispatching duties.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety commitment in day-to-day functions.
• Supervise field crews in operation and maintenance of electrical distribution system.
• Ensure compliance with policies for real-time dispatch operations.
• Oversee real-time use of ADMS, SCADA, DMS and associated analyses.
• Conduct mid-year and year-end performance reviews.
• Provide feedback and coaching on an ongoing basis.
• Investigate reliability, safety conditions, and incidents with cross-functional teams.
• Develop contingency plans to prioritize restoration of service.
• Assist in emergency plans for storms, outages, or labor issues.
• Maintain operating documentation and shift schedules.
• Participate in General Office meetings.
• Work weekends or extended days as required.
• Be available for storm work during severe weather.
• Review and approve outage data.
