Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking an experienced Operations Leader to oversee the Erie DCC and coordinate with FE East System Control Center. In this role you will enforce the Manual of Operations, drive safety and reliability, manage outages and storm responses, and mentor DCC personnel while collaborating with field operations for seamless energy delivery.

Strong leadership, data-driven decision making, and deep knowledge of electric distribution systems are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a PE license preferred or equivalent related work experience.
Minimum of 7 years' professional work experience.
Demonstrated past leadership in operational supervision and/or system operations.
Specialized training or equivalent work experience with in-depth knowledge of electric theory and energy management.
Thorough understanding of MOP, safety, NEC, company policies and labor agreements.

Responsibilities

Enforce adherence to the Manual of Operations (MOP) ensuring safety of the public and staff.
Coordinate operations with the System Control Center East for reliable delivery.
Oversee outages planning with multiple departments and utilities to minimize downtime.
Provide direction to DCC personnel during significant electric system events and storms.
Ensure data quality and archiving for regulatory and legal reporting.
Integrate Erie DCC with field operations and three-part communications.
