Job summary

FirstEnergy's Greensburg Distribution Control Center is seeking an experienced leader to oversee real-time electric delivery operations across Penn Power and West Penn Power territories. You will enforce the MOP, coordinate with System Control Centers, and guide DCC staff through outages, storms, and abnormal events to maintain safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or PE license preferred or equivalent experience.
• Experience in distribution operations and Distribution Control Center Operations.
• Minimum 7 years of professional work experience.
• Demonstrated leadership in operational supervision or system operations.

Responsibilities

• Enforce strict adherence to the Manual of Operations (MOP) with emphasis on safety and root cause resolution of switching errors.
• Coordinate operations with System Control Centers to ensure safe, reliable delivery across the footprint.
• Coordinate outages with departments and utilities to minimize downtime on mutual facilities.
• Provide direction to DCC personnel to address outages, storm events and abnormal situations.
• Ensure adherence to Operating Procedures to achieve consistent, efficient outcomes.
• Maintain complete data and records for regulatory, legal, operational reporting.
• Promote seamless integration of DCC and field operations and proper communications.
