Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking an experienced DCC Operations leader in Greensburg to oversee safe and reliable energy delivery across the Mon Power, Potomac Edison, and broader footprint. The role emphasizes adherence to the Manual of Operations, outage coordination, storm response, and collaboration with system control centers and field operations.

The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years in operations, a electrical engineering background or PE license, and strong data analysis and communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or PE license preferred or equivalent related work experience.
• Minimum of 7 years' professional work experience.
• Demonstrated past leadership in operational supervision and/or system operations duties.
• Specialized training or equivalent work experience with an in-depth knowledge of electric theory, energy management and related information technology systems.
• Thorough working understanding of system operations, electrical engineering, line/substation construction & maintenance practices as well as overall Energy Delivery operations.
• Working knowledge of DCC information technology systems (ADMS, DSCADA, ITOA, CREWS, WMI, GIS, SAP, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of regulatory requirements related to safety and reliability for the Mon Power and Potomac Edison operating areas.

Responsibilities

• Enforce strict adherence to the Manual of Operations (MOP) in all operations with emphasis on safety.
• Coordinate operations with the System Control Center (FE South) for safe and reliable delivery.
• Coordinate outages with departments and utilities to minimize downtime.
• Provide direction and oversight to DCC personnel and operating company for major events.
• Ensure adherence to Operating Procedures and Administrative Procedures for consistent outcomes.
• Maintain complete data and records of DCC operations for regulatory and reporting purposes.
• Ensure seamless integration of Greensburg DCC and field operations with proper comms practices.
• Collaborate with leadership on projects to improve system performance and customer satisfaction.
