Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a Strategic Project Portfolio Construction Coordinator to oversee both overhead and underground distribution construction. The role reports to the SPP Distribution Construction Supervisor and emphasizes safety, budget, productivity and reliability across multiple projects.

Requires seven years of distribution experience, strong technical skills in design reviews and documentation, and the ability to work with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Seven years of Distribution experience in engineering or construction.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; familiarity with Distview, ARMS, CSS, TCMS and JETS.
• Ability to analyze drawings, blueprints, specifications, proposals and other project documents.
• Strong negotiation, communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Valid driver’s license and readiness for storm duty as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contract resources to meet safety, budget, productivity and reliability goals.
• Oversee circuit strategy, attend pre-construction meetings, ensure quality control and perform final project walkdowns.
• Work with Engineering, customers and cross-functional teams; manage multiple projects across a large region.
• Maintain effective communication with region partners and leadership to support storm restoration plans.
• Monitor schedules and deliverables, and adjust plans to achieve on-time completion.
• React to urgent needs with coordination during storms and outages when required.
