Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a Distribution Engineer for the Americus area to design and coordinate overhead and underground distribution facilities, manage projects, and support reliability initiatives. The role requires collaboration with customers, contractors, and operations while ensuring safety and compliance.

The successful candidate will balance engineering rigor with customer service, supporting planning and asset management efforts and participating in on-call rotations for storm response.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering and construction principles.

• Experience with project management and customer coordination.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate distribution facilities (overhead/underground).
• Prepare designs, estimates, construction packages, and work orders.
• Manage customer projects from initiation to completion.
• Schedule work to meet service dates and support reliability initiatives.
• Respond to customer inquiries and participate in storm restoration activities.
