Job summary

Georgia Power, the largest electric subsidiary of Southern Company, seeks a Strategic Project Portfolio Construction Coordinator to oversee overhead and underground construction projects across the statewide region. You will coordinate resources to meet safety, budget, and reliability goals while engaging with multiple internal teams.

Requires seven years of distribution experience, strong analytical skills, and ability to work on a schedule that includes storm duty.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Seven years of Distribution Experience.
• Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Distview, ARMS, CSS, TCMS, and JETS.
• Ability to analyze drawings, blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other project documentation.
• Proven negotiation skills.
• Ability to interact face-to-face with customers (Developers, Builders, Communication Companies).
• Ability to motivate and influence others to get work completed.
• Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks over a large territory.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating contract resources to ensure safety excellence, budget, productivity, schedules, customer satisfaction and reliability goals.
• Oversees circuit strategy, attends pre-construction meetings, quality control, and final walkdowns of assigned projects.
• Communicate with Engineering, internal and external customers, Stakeholder Engagement, Forestry, Land Acquisition, Claims, etc.
• Work alternate schedule and collaborate with Region Partners to maintain a reliable system during construction.
• Support region leadership with storm restoration plans.
