Qualifications

• Seven years of Distribution experience in engineering or construction.

• Ability to analyze drawings, blueprints, specifications, proposals and other project documents.
• Strong negotiation, communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Valid driver’s license and readiness for storm duty as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contract resources to meet safety, budget, productivity and reliability goals.
• Oversee circuit strategy, attend pre-construction meetings, ensure quality control and perform final project walkdowns.
• Work with Engineering, customers and cross-functional teams; manage multiple projects across a large region.
• Maintain effective communication with region partners and leadership to support storm restoration plans.
• Monitor schedules and deliverables, and adjust plans to achieve on-time completion.
• React to urgent needs with coordination during storms and outages when required.

The Strategic Project Portfolio Construction Coordinator position at GPC is a critical role responsible for overseeing both overhead and underground utility construction.

Job Summary

• Reports to the SPP Distribution Construction Supervisor.
• Manages overhead and underground utility construction projects.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Coordinating contract resources to ensure that the SPP Achieves Safety Excellence, budgetary needs, productivity, schedules, customer satisfaction and Reliability goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for circuit strategy, attending pre-construction meetings, quality control, and final walkdowns of assigned projects. To be effective in this position, the incumbent must work well with and communicate with Engineering, internal and external customers, Stakeholder Engagement, Forestry, Land Acquisition, Claims, etc. This job will require an alternate work schedule to accomplish the listed responsibilities. This person will have to communicate well and work closely with our Region Partners to maintain a reliable system during construction of SPP projects. The SPP Coordinator will also work closely with region leadership to support their storm restoration plans.

Education

Job Requirements

• High School education or equivalent.

Experience

• Extensive Distribution engineering and/or construction experience required.
• Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel), Distview, ARMS, CSS, TCMS, and JETS preferred.
• Ability to analyze drawings, blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other project documentation.
• Seven years of Distribution Experience.

Other Requirements
