Job summary

Pike Engineering, based in Florida, seeks a safety‑conscious professional with prior Electric Utility Distribution Engineering, Operations or Construction experience to provide planning, oversight, reporting and project management for utility construction crews.

The role coordinates engineering schedules, site preparation, equipment, and contractor crews for power delivery projects, while enforcing safety standards and supporting stakeholders in completion of objectives.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience required as listed in the job description.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Experience in Electric Utility Distribution (engineering, operations, or construction) is required.
• Journeyman qualification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety consciousness and adherence to OSHA, Client, federal, state, and local safety requirements.
• Educate and negotiate with customers to address concerns professionally.
• Coordinate schedules for engineering, site preparation, equipment and contract crews for Power Delivery maintenance, restoration, and expansions.
• Coordinate line contractor activity with customers for Power Delivery projects.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment; respond to contractor questions on work specifications.
• Inspect work for compliance to utility specifications and assist in contractor management during storm restoration operations.
• Develop and mentor less experienced employees.
• Support additional duties as assigned by management.
