Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a qualified machine operator to safely run and adjust automated equipment in a fast-paced plant environment. You will monitor output, verify quality, and support changeovers with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.

The role requires good organizational skills, physical stamina, and the ability to operate controls and PC software. Training of new operators and adherence to 6S principles are essential components of the position.

Qualifications

• Must follow safe machine practices and general plant rules.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Physical agility and spatial understanding required for machine operation.
• Capable of using machine controls and PC-based software to operate equipment.
• Ability to perform minor equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Self-motivated with a drive to achieve high performance and success.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety standards and plant policies as outlined in the handbook.
• Maintain and monitor machine to ensure proper function and adjust setup for changeovers or different functions.
• Perform minor preventive maintenance and identify potential issues to avoid downtime.
• Verify carton contents and ensure they meet quality standards; arrange contents to minimize shipping costs.
• Train new operators on machine operations and responsibilities.
• Perform daily 6S activities: organization, safety, housekeeping and material readiness.
• Occasionally work overtime as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
