Abercrombie & Fitch Co. is seeking a Distribution Center Project Associate Engineer to drive automation and facility projects across the distribution network. You will coordinate planning, scheduling, vendor management, and capital approvals to improve throughput and readiness.

You will work with Operations, Facilities, Safety, Procurement, and Technology teams to implement RFID, AS/RS, sortation, AMRs, and other warehouse solutions, while focusing on reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2+ years of project/engineering experience in distribution, logistics, or manufacturing.
• Experience coordinating vendors, budgets, schedules, and project execution.
• Familiarity with warehouse technologies and automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facility, automation, and capital projects from planning through handoff.
• Manage schedules, budgets, vendors, purchase orders, and stakeholder communications.
• Support DC modernization, RFID, robotics, and warehouse tech implementations.
• Assist with analysis of performance and labor to drive improvements.

**Job Description:**The Distribution Center Project Associate Engineer supports engineering, automation, facility, capital, and continuous improvement initiatives across A&F's distribution network. This role partners with Operations, Facilities, Safety, Procurement, Finance, Technology, and external vendors to deliver projects that improve productivity, operational readiness, equipment reliability, and distribution center capabilities. **What Will You Be Doing** * Coordinate facility, infrastructure, automation, and capital projects from planning through implementation and operational handoff.* Manage project schedules, budgets, approvals, vendors, contractors, purchase orders, invoices, risks, and stakeholder communications.* Support distribution center modernization initiatives, including automation, RFID, print & apply, material handling equipment, robotics, and other warehouse technologies.* Assist with the evaluation and implementation of automation solutions such as AS/RS, Goods-to-Person systems, sortation equipment, AMRs, and AGVs.* Partner with Operations and Technology teams to support system integration, operational readiness, and successful project execution.* Analyze operational performance and labor productivity to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.* Support peak readiness activities, capital planning, and future network investments. **What Do You Need to Bring?** **Education & Experience*** Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.* 2+ years of experience supporting engineering, automation, facility, capital, or continuous improvement projects in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, fulfillment, or similar environments.* Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, project budgets, schedules, purchasing activities, and project execution.**Knowledge & Skills*** Knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling equipment, facility infrastructure, and industrial engineering principles.* Familiarity with distribution center technologies, including automation, RFID, robotics, sortation systems, WMS, WES, labor management systems, and operational analytics tools.* Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.* Ability to manage multiple priorities, identify risks, and drive projects to completion.* Effective communication and relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders and external partners.* Comfortable working in an active distribution center environment while balancing planning and execution.* Safety-focused, detail-oriented, and motivated to deliver measurable operational improvements. **Success in This Role**Success in this role is measured by the ability to safely deliver projects, improve operational performance, strengthen distribution center capabilities, and serve as a trusted engineering partner to Operations and Supply Chain leadership.**Benefits & Perks**As an Abercrombie & Fitch Co.
