Performance Food Group (New) is seeking high-potential leaders for an Operations Manager Development Program designed to immerse you in all facets of distribution center operations, including Warehouse, Transportation, and Facility Operations. The program provides hands-on experience, coaching, and structured training to prepare you for nationwide Operations Manager/Director roles.

Participants will gain leadership capabilities, operational expertise, and business acumen, with readiness timeline

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience.
• Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret business reports, journals, procedures, and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to present to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills to interpret metrics and data.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all distribution center operations, including Warehouse, Transportation, and Facility Operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of receiving, stocking, order selection, packing, delivery, inventory management, equipment maintenance, security, and facility operations.
• Assess staffing and equipment needs by evaluating activity, forecasted volumes, productivity metrics, and product mix to optimize performance.
• Drive operational and financial performance by managing labor, expenses, productivity, and service metrics to achieve targets.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA/DOT/food safety requirements while fostering safety and accountability.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, returns management, and variance resolution.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and performance manage warehouse and transportation staff; partner with leadership on training initiatives.
