Job summary

Core-Mark International is launching an Operations Manager Development Program to immerse high-potential leaders in all facets of Distribution Center Operations. The program provides hands-on experience across shifts and functional areas, building leadership capabilities and business acumen to lead a distribution center.

It emphasizes safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution aligned with the financial plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) and 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience.
• Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret business reports and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with reporting skills.
• Analytical and quantitative skills to interpret metrics and forecasts.
• Willingness to relocate upon successful program completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all distribution center operations, including Warehouse, Transportation, and Facility Operations.
• Assess staffing and equipment needs to optimize performance and resource utilization.
• Drive operational and financial performance by managing labor, expenses, productivity, and service metrics.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, food safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventories.
• Recruit, coach, and develop warehouse and transportation teams and leaders.
• Collaborate with OpCo President and senior leaders to review performance and priorities.
• Partner with Risk Management and HR to investigate incidents and drive safety actions.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration to support operational excellence and customer service.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, service, and cost.
• Utilize WMS/TMS and reporting tools to monitor performance and accountability.
• Maintain P&L and financial accountability.
