Job summary

GEODIS is a global third-party logistics provider (3PL) powering the supply chains of some of the top brands and manufacturers. This distribution center leadership role coordinates daily activities, supervises teams, and ensures accurate inventory and efficient operations.

Excellent candidates will have 3–5 years of related warehouse experience, a supervisory background, and proficiency with warehouse equipment and WM/LMS software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3–5 years related warehouse and/or distribution center experience.
• 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with warehouse equipment.
• Experience with warehouse management systems.
• Experience with labor management systems.
• PC literate with Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily activities within the distribution center.
• Supervises staff and directs work as they execute activities related to order fulfillment, inventory management, stocking, material handling, and equipment usage.
• Prepares work schedules and reacts quickly to labor needs.
• Manages labor hours and payroll in electronic timekeeping system.
• Interviews and trains prospective and new team members.
• Supervises staff development including performance appraisals and addressing complaints.
• Ensures compliance with safety and company policies.
• Schedules inventories and reviews stock levels.
• Traces item history to resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Prepares reports for leadership.
