Job summary

Happy Floors is seeking a Distribution Center Manager to lead daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, order fulfillment, and shipping. The role supervises department supervisors and collaborates with other departments to meet service goals.

You will oversee SAP/GP systems, ensure quality controls, maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, and train staff on WMS/TMS. A strong focus on safety, scheduling, and continuous improvement is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of applicable experience.
• Prior management experience in a Distribution Center setting; flooring industry preferred.
• Knowledge of Warehouse (Inventory) Management System (WMS) and troubleshooting RF Scanner.
• Able to operate motorized equipment and machinery.
• Proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations through daily supervisor meetings and SAP/GP systems.
• Deliver high quality service through adherence to QC measures across receiving, fulfillment, packing and shipping.
• Maintain inventory controls with disciplined cycle counts and metrics.
• Prepare inventory documentation detailing type, quantity and quality of inventory.
• Coordinate warehouse layout for efficient material handling and space utilization.
• Manage and train staff on WMS and TMS systems.
• Enforce OSHA/DOT safety regulations and monitor safety compliance.
• Monitor performance toward monthly/quarterly goals and incentive programs.
• Schedule employees and control overtime and attendance.
• Lead teamwork to achieve productivity targets and PPE compliance.
• Recommend procedural improvements and conduct departmental reviews.
