Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a contract Hands-On Endpoint & Display Troubleshooter based in Spring, TX. The role focuses on diagnosing and resolving complex hardware and display issues across enterprise PCs, docks, USB-C/Thunderbolt, graphics drivers, BIOS, firmware, and OS interactions.

You will reproduce issues, build test configurations, compare known-good vs failing setups, and verify fixes independently, documenting findings and ensuring root cause resolution.

Qualifications

• Hands-on troubleshooting of enterprise PCs, monitors, docking stations, USB-C/Thunderbolt, graphics drivers, BIOS and firmware.
• Ability to reproduce issues, build test configurations and compare known-good vs failing setups.
• Independent research, documentation of findings and verification that fixes resolve the issue.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on troubleshooting of enterprise PCs, monitors, docking stations, USB-C/Thunderbolt, graphics drivers, BIOS and firmware beyond basic rebooting or replacement.
• Reproduce technical issues, build test configurations, perform A/B comparisons, identify root cause.
• Test and validate hardware, drivers, firmware, BIOS, and OS changes; document findings and verify fixes.

Hands-On Endpoint & Display Troubleshooting

• Experience troubleshooting enterprise PCs, monitors, docking stations, USB-C/Thunderbolt, graphics drivers, BIOS, firmware, and related hardware issues beyond basic rebooting or hardware replacement.

Root Cause Analysis & Issue Reproduction

• Ability to reproduce technical issues, build test configurations, perform A/B and known-good vs. failing comparisons, change one variable at a time, and identify the actual root cause.

Hardware Validation & Independent Problem Solving

• Experience testing and validating hardware, drivers, firmware, BIOS, and OS changes. Must be able to independently research unfamiliar problems, document findings, and verify that a fix actually resolves the issue.

Nice to Have

USB-C, Thunderbolt/USB4, DisplayPort, HDMI, multi-monitor environments, graphics drivers, BIOS, firmware, EDID, MST/DSC, and HP enterprise hardware.

This is a Contract position based out of Spring, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $37.00/hr.
