Job summary

Standard Wellness in Ohio is seeking a Lead Dispensary Associate to supervise staff and guide customers through selecting medical cannabis products while providing education and a positive shopping experience.

The role focuses on accurate patient registration, compliance with Metrc and Ohio regulations, and delivering outstanding service from entry to checkout, with emphasis on privacy and HIPAA practices.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older and able to pass background checks.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Retail or hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to work opening, closing, weekends and holidays.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dispensary staff in daily operations when GM/AGM/ICM are unavailable.
• Ensure accurate transaction reporting to Metrc and Ohio regulatory systems.
• Register patients/caregivers, verify recommendations, and manage POS entries.
• Educate patients on product types, uses and dosage for conditions.
• Maintain labeling accuracy and assist customers by phone and in person.
• Ensure compliance with Ohio cannabis laws and HIPAA confidentiality.
