Job summary

GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY is seeking a dispensary associate in Cleveland, OH to guide guests through selecting medical cannabis products and provide education to ensure empowered decisions. You will handle patient check-ins, verify compliance with regulations, and deliver excellent service in a fast-paced retail setting.

The role requires 21+, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and licensing.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma, or the equivalent.
• Must be able to pass all background check requirements and obtain licensing as set forth by the Division of Cannabis Control.
• Retail or hospitality experience, preferred.
• Must be able to work opening, closing, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without an accommodation.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Register customer into the system using their patient ID and photo identification; verify the recommendation and status of the patient ID with Metrc; check guest into the POS system.
• Using OARRS, verify days’ supply when checking in, at recommendation, and at checkout to prevent oversell.
• Adhere to doctors’ notes in the system for dosing and medication type.
• Provide education to patients on product types, uses, and dosage to ensure maximum benefit.
• Confirm medication pulled matches the medication entered into the POS by checking labels against the patient’s cart.
• Make certain all labeling requirements are completed at checkout.
• Assist patients in person and by phone with inquiries and concerns.
• Adheres to and educates patients on Ohio laws and regulations as it relates to Board of Pharmacy guidelines including methods of consumption and administration.
• Assist in daily inventory of cannabis and non-cannabis inventory.
• Communicate any activity or observations that are out of the ordinary.
• Ensure compliance with applicable state and local laws through all stages of the sale of medical cannabis.
• Provide support to the General Manager to ensure daily operations run smoothly, properly, and in compliance with applicable laws.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Position Summary:

The dispensary associate is responsible for guiding guests through the process of selecting the appropriate medicine for their needs and by providing education of medical cannabis products. The dispensary associate is responsible for one-on-one interaction with guests from the time they walk in the store to the time they leave with their purchase and will provide excellent customer service while making guests feel empowered and confident in their decision.

Essential Job Functions:

• Register customer into the system using their patient ID card and photo identification used to obtain the card, verify the recommendation and status of the patient ID card with Metrc registry; confirm all required profile fields are complete; check guest into the POS system
• Using OARRS, verify days’ supply available when checking patient or caregiver in, when recommending a medication to avoid over administering medication, and at check out to make sure they are not being oversold
• Adhere to any doctors’ notes in the system for dosing, medication type, and administration of medication
• Provide education to patients on product types, uses, and dosage to ensure maximum benefit for their qualifying condition and symptoms
• Confirm medication pulled matches the medication entered into the POS by checking product labels against the patients’ cart
• Make certain all labeling requirements are completed at check out
• Assist patients in person and by phone with inquiries and concerns
