American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a Dispatcher to join our logistics team in Phoenix, AZ. This fast-paced role collaborates with drivers, customers, scale operators, and yard staff to move materials safely and efficiently.

You will schedule drivers, handle pickups/deliveries, and monitor routes while ensuring DOT and safety compliance. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• You have 2+ years of dispatching experience in transportation, logistics, recycling, waste, or a related industry.
• You have knowledge of DOT regulations and hours-of-service requirements.
• You have experience working with roll-off, end dump, or other heavy truck operations (preferred).
• You have strong communication skills and can effectively coordinate with drivers, customers, and operations teams.
• You are organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• You are a proactive problem-solver with a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and dispatching drivers to meet customer and operational needs.
• Handling customer service calls and coordinate pickups and deliveries.
• Communicating daily with drivers, scale operators, and yard teams.
• Monitoring routes, schedules, and driver hours to ensure DOT compliance.
• Tracking incoming and outgoing loads and maintain accurate records.
• Providing drivers with job information, site details, and material instructions.
• Helping resolve scheduling issues, service concerns, and other day-to-day operational challenges.
