American Iron & Metal (AIM) in Phoenix seeks a Dispatcher to join our logistics team. You will work closely with drivers, customers, scale operators, and yard personnel to keep material moving safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

You will schedule drivers, handle pickups/deliveries, and ensure DOT hours-of-service compliance while maintaining clear, proactive communication across teams. AIM offers competitive pay and benefits in a dynamic work setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of dispatching experience in transportation, logistics, recycling, waste, or related industry.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and hours-of-service requirements.
• Experience with roll-off, end dump, or other heavy truck operations (preferred).
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with drivers, customers, and operations teams.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive problem-solver with a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers to meet customer and operational needs.
• Handle customer service calls and coordinate pickups/deliveries.
• Communicate daily with drivers, scale operators, and yard teams.
• Monitor routes, schedules, and driver hours to ensure DOT compliance.
• Track incoming/outgoing loads and maintain accurate records.
• Provide drivers with job information, site details, and material instructions.
• Help resolve scheduling issues, service concerns, and other day-to-day operational challenges.
