Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written procedures and reports in English.
• Ability to respond to inquiries from employees, customers, regulatory agencies, suppliers, etc.
• Ability to apply basic math concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios.
• Ability to sit at a desk or computer to perform writing and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Take calls, process orders, and prepare shipments for pickup or delivery.
• Coordinate transfers of products between branches and the main site.
• Contact trucking companies to coordinate shipments and instruct drivers on load requirements.
• Operate truck scale and complete weights, bills of lading, and hazardous materials papers.
• Answer inquiries about product orders via phone and computer.
• Communicate directions to customers, vendors, employees, and the public.
• Conduct physical inventory counts in warehouses and bulk storage areas.
• Calculate total quantities of products by weight or volume.
• Perform receptionist duties as needed.
• Process incoming/outgoing mail and maintain office supplies and filing systems.
• Work extended hours and flexible schedules during busy season.
