• Location: Baptist Health Brookwood - 2010 Brookwood Medical Center Drive, Birmingham, AL 35209. Note: online applications accepted only.

Job Summary

Position: Coordinates and monitors Patient Transportation services, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch and management of requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Apply knowledge of patient transport, infection control, and body mechanics.
• Develop dispatcher logic, assign tasks, and transport patients when needed.
• Supervise transport activities, monitor procedures, and follow up on issues.
• Ensure requests are handled efficiently according to standards and priorities.
• Act as liaison between Patient Transportation and other departments.
• Manage pagers, sign-in/out procedures, and promote positive customer relationships.
• Resolve complaints and recommend solutions for recurring issues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
