Job Opening: Dispatcher at Crothall Healthcare

We are hiring immediately for full-time DISPATCHER positions at Crothall Healthcare.

Location: Baptist Health Brookwood - 2010 Brookwood Medical Center Drive, Birmingham, AL 35209. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirements: Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred. Willing to train!

Job Summary

Summary: Coordinates and monitors Patient Transportation services, ensuring timely, accurate dispatch and management of requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Understand and apply knowledge of patient transport, infection control, and proper body mechanics.
• Develop dispatcher logic and transport activities; transport patients when needed.
• Direct transport activities, monitor procedures, and follow up on service issues.
• Ensure requests are handled efficiently according to standards and priorities.
• Act as liaison between Patient Transportation and other departments.
• Manage pagers and sign-in/out procedures.
• Build positive relationships with patients, visitors, and staff; ensure dispatch accuracy and staff productivity.
• Resolve complaints and recommend solutions for recurring issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
