• Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and DispatchTrack to ensure timely deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and clients via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette and clear messaging.
• Utilize GPS and GIS tools to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and support transportation planning efforts.
• Enter data accurately into logistics platforms like AS400 and freight management systems to track shipments, update statuses, and generate reports.
• Manage shipping & receiving documentation, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Dispatch drivers efficiently by analyzing real-time data on traffic conditions, fleet availability, and delivery priorities.
• Maintain high standards of communication skills to handle inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and provide exceptional customer service throughout the transportation process.

Experience

• Knowledge of freight operations including shipping & receiving procedures and fleet management practices.

• Demonstrated ability to operate multi-line phone systems and data entry platforms like AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

• Excellent communication skills with a focus on professional phone etiquette and clear verbal interactions.

• Strong typing skills combined with attention to detail for accurate data entry and documentation.

• Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PL), supply chain processes, or transportation dispatching is a plus but not mandatory.
