Job summary

Brown & Son Towing is hiring a Tow Dispatcher for the 2:00p-10:00p shift. You will be first contact for customers, police, and fleet accounts to dispatch the appropriate truck and driver quickly and safely.

You will manage calls, collect details, coordinate with drivers and monitor ETAs, while maintaining professionalism and calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Dispatch in towing experience is required; heavy wrecker or transportation experience is a strong plus.
• Excellent knowledge of local roads and geography.
• Comfortable with computers and using several screens at once.
• Clear phone manner and strong written communication.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and stay composed under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and take roadside assistance and towing requests from customers and accounts.
• Collect accurate call details: location, vehicle year/make/model, condition, drop-off location and payment.
• Assign calls to drivers based on location, truck type and availability.
• Track drivers in real time with GPS and dispatch software; update ETAs for customers.
• Enter and close out calls in the dispatch system with correct charges, mileage and notes.
• Coordinate police requests, tows, impounds and vehicle releases following laws.
• Handle customer questions professionally and escalate issues when needed.
• Maintain contact with drivers about safety, delays and changes on scene.

• Experience in Towing Dispatch, and prefer Wrecker towing dispatch.

Brown & Son Towing is hiring a Tow Dispatcher. You'll be the first contact for customers, motor clubs, police and fleet accounts. You'll send the right truck and driver to every call quickly and safely. Stranded drivers depend on you to stay calm when things get busy.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and take roadside assistance and towing requests from customers, police rotation lists, insurance companies and commercial accounts.
• Collect accurate call details: location, vehicle year/make/model, condition, drop-off location and payment method.
• Attention to detail, great communication skills, excellent listening skills a must.
• Assign calls to drivers based on location, truck type (light, medium or heavy duty, flatbed, wheel-lift) and availability.
• Track drivers in real time with GPS and dispatch software, and update ETAs for customers and account partners.
• Enter and close out calls in the dispatch system (e.g., Towbook, Omadi, Beacon) with correct charges, mileage and notes.
• Accept, decline and manage digital motor club jobs within required response times.
• Coordinate police-requested tows, impounds, private property tows and vehicle releases, following state and local rules.
• Handle customer questions and complaints professionally, and elevate problems to management when needed.
• Keep in contact with drivers throughout each shift about safety, delays and changes on scene.
• Help with billing records, impound lot inventory and end-of-shift reports as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Dispatch in towing required. Heavy Wrecker Towing or transportation experience is a strong plus.
