Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assign vehicles to drivers for approved government business and ensure vehicles are ready for issue.
• Maintain fleet inventory and service records, including odometer, destination, and return times, using GPS to track location and mileage.
• Manage information in Tessera and Navy Maximo, including work orders, warranties, maintenance data, and costs.
• Monitor vehicle release and return to track who has which vehicle and where it is.
• Schedule servicing of fleet vehicles (lubrication, oil/filter changes, body/engine work, tires, warranty work).
• Issue keys and a Fleet card with the vehicle and maintain records in contractor-approved systems.
• Provide backup support for facility key issues and warehouse functions as needed.
• Manage information in Maximo regarding work orders and maintenance data.

Compensation: $3 3.06 - $3 3.06 per hour

Tessera is seeking a Dispatcher for the Transportation Shop that has a positive and can-do attitude. The Dispatcher is responsible for the assignment of motor vehicles and drivers for the conveyance of freight or passengers and complies with lists of available vehicles. Additional responsibilities include the issuance of keys, record sheets, and driver credentials .

Typical duties

• Assign vehicles to drivers to provide transportation for approved government business while ensuring the efficient and effective use of vehicles and drivers. Ensures vehicles are cleaned and ready for issue - has basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and can communicate issues to maintenance staff.
• Maintain a system of gathering information to update fleet inventory and service records by ensuring that outgoing odometer mileage, destination, and estimated time of return, as well as return odometer mileage, return time, information from vehicle users, and other observable necessary maintenance and repair work are recorded. Leverage GPS system to record vehicle location and mileage.
• Manage information in Tessera and Navy Maximo, including work orders, vehicle information, warranties, maintenance data, and costs. Communicate with Navy Transportation personnel and provides information and reports.
• Monitor the actual release and return of fleet vehicles to ascertain the current location and user of each vehicle by establishing and/or maintaining a standard system of recording the release of the vehicle to and the return of the vehicle from the user.
• Schedule servicing of fleet vehicles, including lubrication, oil and filter changes, body and engine repair, tires, necessary warranty work, and cleaning of vehicles to ensure efficient and sound operating condition .
• Issue keys and a Fleet card with the vehicle.
• Maintain records in contractor-approved information system.
• Provide backup support for facility key issues when locksmiths are in the field.
• Provide backup support for warehouse functions when needed.
• Manage information in Maximo, including work orders, vehicle information, warranties, and maintenance data.
• All Other Duties as Assigned.
