Job summary

Tessera is seeking a Dispatcher for the Transportation Shop in Oak Harbor, WA. The role assigns vehicles and drivers for government transportation needs, issues keys and credentials, and maintains fleet records using Navy Maximo and Tessera systems.

You will coordinate vehicle maintenance, track location via GPS, support warehouse operations, and ensure compliance with security requirements, background checks, and installation access.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Transportation.
• Valid state driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assign vehicles to drivers for approved government business, ensuring vehicles are ready and communicating issues to maintenance.
• Maintain fleet records, update mileage, destinations, and return times; use GPS for location tracking.
• Manage information in Tessera and Navy Maximo, including work orders, warranties, and maintenance data; report to Navy Transportation personnel.

Compensation: $3.306 - $3.306 per hour

Tessera is seeking a Dispatcher for the Transportation Shop that has a positive and can-do attitude. The Dispatcher is responsible for the assignment of motor vehicles and drivers for the conveyance of freight or passengers and complies with lists of available vehicles. Additional responsibilities include the issuance of keys, record sheets, and driver credentials.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Assign vehicles to drivers to provide transportation for approved government business while ensuring the efficient and effective use of vehicles and drivers. Ensures vehicles are cleaned and ready for issue - has basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and can communicate issues to maintenance staff.
• Maintain a system of gathering information to update fleet inventory and service records by ensuring that outgoing odometer mileage, destination, and estimated time of return, as well as return odometer mileage, return time, information from vehicle users, and other observable necessary maintenance and repair work are recorded. Leverage GPS system to record vehicle location and mileage.
• Manage information in Tessera and Navy Maximo, including work orders, vehicle information, warranties, maintenance data, and costs. Communicate with Navy Transportation personnel and provides information and reports.
• Monitor the actual release and return of fleet vehicles to ascertain the current location and user of each vehicle by establishing and/or maintaining a standard system of recording the release of the vehicle to and the return of the vehicle from the user.
• Schedule servicing of fleet vehicles, including lubrication, oil and filter changes, body and engine repair, tires, necessary warranty work, and cleaning of vehicles to ensure efficient and sound operating condition.
• Issue keys and a Fleet card with the vehicle.
• Maintain records in contractor-approved information system.
• Provide backup support for facility key issues when locksmiths are in the field.
• Provide backup support for warehouse functions when needed.
• Manage information in Maximo, including work orders, vehicle information, warranties, and maintenance data.
• All Other Duties as Assigned.

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
• Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
• Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

• A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
