Job summary

Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials in Grapevine, TX is seeking a Dispatcher to join our team. You will compile orders, schedule deliveries and drivers, and provide excellent customer service.

The role requires at least 3 years of customer service, dispatch/tracking experience preferred, and bilingual Spanish/English is highly valued. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of customer service experience preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prior dispatch, tracking and scheduling experience preferred.
• Bi-Lingual Spanish/English highly preferred.
• Computer skills including typing and internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and control the Drivers daily and adjust to meet volume.
• Maintain a professional voice over the phone/radio and de-escalate tense situations.
• Remain calm and decisive in a high stress/fast-paced environment.
• Solve problems promptly while fostering relationships with customers and drivers.
• Be familiar with delivery areas and assist drivers in finding job sites.
• Determine travel time to jobs and best plant locations to service the job.
• Input orders accurately for delivery according to customer specs.
• Review and verify delivery information on orders prior to delivery.
• Handle high call volumes while multitasking with plants, drivers, and office staff.
• Coordinate Driver timekeeping and time-off requests; maintain schedule.
• Daily review of Driver timecards and delivery time reports.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

• Dispatch and control the Drivers needed throughout the day and make any necessary adjustments to maintain daily volume requirements.
• Have a professional and respectful voice over the phone/radio, with the ability to deescalate tense situations.
• Able to remain calm and decisive in a potentially high stress/fast-paced work environment.
• Solve problems in a timely manner while fostering lasting business relationships with our customers/drivers.
• Must be familiar with our delivery areas and must be able to assist drivers in finding job sites.
• Must be able to determine travel time to jobs and best plant locations to service the job.
• Accurately and promptly input orders to customer specifications for delivery.
• Review and verify accurate delivery and product information on orders prior to delivery.
• Must be able to perform in high call volume situations while multitasking with plants, drivers, team members in the office.
• Coordinate Driver timekeeping functions, including receiving and documenting time off requests. As well as, maintaining Driver time off schedule in respect to sick time and personal days
• Daily review of Driver timecards, delivery time reports and time entry/ tracking.

About You

We Require:

• A minimum of 3 years customer service experience preferred.
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Prior dispatch experience, tracking and scheduling is preferred.
• Bi-Lingual (Spanish/English) will be highly looked upon.
• Computer Skills: typing skills, internet navigation.
