Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials in Tampa, FL is seeking a skilled Dispatcher to join our logistics team. You will dispatch and coordinate drivers, manage daily delivery schedules, and ensure accurate order entry and customer communication.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of customer service experience, strong computer skills, and bilingual Spanish/English abilities. A high school diploma or GED is required, with prior dispatch experience preferred to support fast-paced operations.

Qualifications

• 3 years customer service experience preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prior dispatch experience, tracking and scheduling preferred.
• Bi-Lingual Spanish/English will be highly looked upon.
• Computer skills including typing and internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and control the Drivers needed throughout the day and make adjustments to meet daily volume.
• Maintain a professional voice over the phone and radio, deescalate tense situations.
• Remain calm and decisive in a fast paced, high stress work environment.
• Solve problems in a timely manner while fostering business relationships with customers and drivers.
• Be familiar with delivery areas and assist drivers in finding job sites.
• Determine travel time to jobs and best plant locations to service the job.
• Input orders accurately to customer specifications for delivery.
• Review and verify delivery and product information prior to delivery.
• Manage high call volume while multitasking with plants, drivers, and office staff.
• Coordinate driver timekeeping and maintain time off schedule for sick leave and personal days.
• Review driver timecards and delivery time reports daily.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

• Dispatch and control the Drivers needed throughout the day and make any necessary adjustments to maintain daily volume requirements.
• Have a professional and respectful voice over the phone/radio, with the ability to deescalate tense situations.
• Able to remain calm and decisive in a potentially high stress/fast-paced work environment.
• Solve problems in a timely manner while fostering lasting business relationships with our customers/drivers.
• Must be familiar with our delivery areas and must be able to assist drivers in finding job sites.
• Must be able to determine travel time to jobs and best plant locations to service the job.
• Accurately and promptly input orders to customer specifications for delivery.
• Review and verify accurate delivery and product information on orders prior to delivery.
• Must be able to perform in high call volume situations while multitasking with plants, drivers, team members in the office.
• Coordinate Driver timekeeping functions, including receiving and documenting time off requests. As well as, maintaining Driver time off schedule in respect to sick time and personal days
• Daily review of Driver timecards, delivery time reports and time entry/ tracking.

About You

We Require:

• A minimum of 3 years customer service experience preferred.
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Prior dispatch experience, tracking and scheduling is preferred.
• Bi-Lingual (Spanish/English) will be highly looked upon.
• Computer Skills: typing skills, internet navigation.
