Job summary

Manafort Brothers in Cumberland, RI is seeking a Construction Dispatcher to coordinate communication and logistics between drivers and jobsites, ensuring timely operations across transportation and logistics at our Cumberland location.

The successful candidate will have supervisory experience in construction or industrial settings; knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and regional regulations; experience in trucking logistics; and working knowledge of federal and state commercial motor

Manafort Brothers has an opening for a Construction Dispatcher to join our team to provide coordinated communication and logistics between drivers and Jobsites to ensure timely and efficient operations across transportation and logistics at our Cumberland, RI location. The successful candidate will have supervisory experience in construction or industrial type atmospheres; have knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and regional regulations; experience in trucking logistics; and working knowledge of federal and state commercial motor vehicle safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receiving and Managing Calls:Handle calls, gather critical information, and dispatch appropriate trucks;
• Scheduling and Route Planning:Coordinate and schedule deliveries, pickups, or service calls, optimizing routes to minimize delays and fuel consumption;
• Monitoring Operations:Track vehicles using GPS, vehicle trackers, or other systems, ensuring timely arrivals and adherence to schedules;
• Problem-Solving:Address operational issues such as delays, vehicle breakdowns, or complaints, providing quick and effective solutions;
• Record Keeping:Maintain accurate logs of dispatch activities, including delivery records, incident reports, and vehicle maintenance;
• Customer Service:Respond to inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure client satisfaction by providing timely and professional communication.

Must be a self-starter with the ability and experience to interact with internal and external clients as well as manage employees and resolve day-to-day problems and issues to support job site operations.
