Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a Dispatcher to manage driver calls, record delivery times, and coordinate with customer service and purchasing to ensure timely deliveries. The role requires effective communication, strong organization, and the ability to adjust routes as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus a valid CDL for emergency route relief, and at least 3 years of transportation/warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and records delivery time information from route drivers.
• Communicates with management and customer service on driver locations and delivery windows.
• Reviews delivery logs daily for accuracy and makes corrections as needed.
• Coordinates with purchasing on product pick-ups and driver assignments.
• Reassigns drivers to routes when others are unavailable.
• Makes minor delivery route adjustments as needed.
• Addresses customer issues and directs calls to customer service.
• Mitigates disruptions that affect delivery times or routes.
