Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Dispatch Specialist based in the United States.

The Dispatch Specialist plays a key role in coordinating field operations and helping technicians deliver on customer commitments.
You will provide real-time support to field teams, helping resolve work order changes and customer account requests efficiently.
The role requires strong organization, communication, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced operational environment.
You will monitor technician routes and availability to optimize workforce capacity and ensure timely service delivery.
You will also coordinate service locates and outages while responding to requests from technical and virtual support teams.
This is a fully remote opportunity suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, technology, and operational coordination.
Your work will directly contribute to a seamless customer experience and more efficient field service operations.

Accountabilities:
  • Provide phone and chat support to field technicians, assisting with work order modifications, scheduling needs, and customer account requests.
  • Respond to and resolve tickets, emails, and inquiries received from technical care and virtual call center teams.
  • Monitor technician routes and availability to maintain an accurate understanding of workforce capacity and identify opportunities for efficient work order assignment.
  • Coordinate and establish service locates and outage-related activities as required.
  • Use field service management and customer support systems to maintain accurate information and facilitate effective communication between field teams and internal departments.
  • Help ensure customer commitments and service expectations are met through timely issue resolution and effective dispatch coordination.
  • Take on additional operational responsibilities as needed to support organizational objectives and customer service standards.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in dispatch, field service, workforce management, or a related operational role is preferred, ideally with 2 or more years of experience.
  • At least some prior customer service experience is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with technicians and internal teams.
  • Strong alphanumeric data-entry skills and a high level of accuracy.
  • Comfortable navigating the internet and working with multiple computer applications and digital systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and GPS-based tools.
  • Experience with or understanding of ServiceNow, ACSR, and field service management systems is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and a proactive, customer-focused approach.
