Job summary

Global Logistics Company is seeking a Dispatch Specialist to coordinate high-profile logistics jobs, enter orders, and manage plans to keep time-sensitive shipments on schedule. This full-time role is based in Atlanta, GA with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

You will handle tracking and quoting, maintain order flow, and contribute to improvements in process efficiency and customer satisfaction, while ensuring contingency plans and compliance are in place.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational, time-management and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of world geography/time zones and domestic/international routing.
• Customer service or logistics/dispatch experience preferred; Dangerous Goods certification is a plus.

Role Summary

As a Dispatch Specialist at Global Logistics Company, you'll coordinate high-profile logistics jobs - managing job orders, status updates, price quotes, and client questions. This is a dispatch role, not freight forwarding, based full-time in our Atlanta office.

How You Create Impact

• Fiscal Responsibility: Help manage the dispatch/charter services P&L.
• Customer Service and Control Group Functions: Enter orders and set up logistics plans to meet customer needs. Ensure and maintain order flow through the tracking/quoting system.
• Operational Performance: Contribute to and ensure alignment with strategic goals for process efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Implement initiatives for continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
• Customer Satisfaction & Quality Assurance: Address real-time customer satisfaction concerns and ensure corrective actions are applied and followed through.
• Strategic Contribution: Actively contribute to corporate strategy by implementing operational initiatives aligned with company goals.
• Compliance and Emergency Preparedness: Ensure readiness with contingency plans and compliance, including necessary access for service partners.
